Despite having a very low energy-to-weight ratio and low energy-to-volume ratio, lead acid battery has an economically acceptable power-to-weight ratio. This feature, combined with its low cost, makes acid battery attractive in motor vehicles, providing the high currents needed just like what Car Start Stop Battery or AGM Start Stop Battery did.
There are two different tubular plate batteries: OPzS batteries and OPzV batteries. The vented tubular batteries OPzS range are commonly used in telecommunication centers, control and monitoring systems in power plants and substations, railway signal, data processing systems, etc. The OPzV range batteries are equivalent to the OPzS cells but valve regulated and fitted with a gelified electrolyte that enables the battery become GEL Batteries to be installed in horizontal position. The field of application of these batteries is the same as that for the vented Opzs Batteries and cells
