Working principle

GEL Batteries are pumped between the positive and negative plates of the battery through vacuum perfusion in the AGM separator. In the initial stage of use, the oxygen cycle cannot be carried out and the active substance lead on the negative plate cannot be reduced. The batteries can only be discharged through the exhaust valve, which is the same as that of liquid-rich batteries. After a period of use, the colloid began to dry and shrink, resulting in cracks, oxygen through the cracks directly to the negative plate for oxygen circulation, the exhaust valve is no longer often opened. GEL Batteries work close to sealing and lose little water.

The difference between GEL Battery and AGM Battery

The AGM battery is tightly assembled so that the plate fully contacts the electrolyte.

The GEL Battery is pumped through the vacuum of the separator to fill the electrolyte between the positive and negative plates.

AGM battery is a thick plate battery, the utilization rate of active substances is low, and the discharge capacity is small.

The GEL Batteries belongs to the open type battery, the active substance utilization rate is higher, and the discharge capacity is larger.
